God of War 3 PC Game Version and Folder Requirements
Updated · SpartanPort 2.7.0
SpartanPort uses God of War III Remastered for PS4. Supply your own prepared game files, then select their existing directory in the launcher; PS3 game data belongs to the RPCS3 route.

Which edition, title IDs and game versions work?
The port version, 2.7.0, is separate from the game's version, such as 01.02. The title ID identifies a PS4 release of the game.
Use these game combinations for the installation guides:
| Title ID | Game versions |
|---|---|
CUSA01623 |
01.00, 01.02 |
CUSA01715 |
01.00, 01.02 |
The launcher also recognizes CUSA01720 and CUSA01740. If a menu, patch or save preview fails on one of those game builds, include the title ID and game version in your problem report.
Which folder should I choose instead of a PKG or outer folder?
Select the existing game root in Game folder. Don't select a PKG file or an outer directory containing another game folder. The chosen root must contain these key entries directly:
eboot.bin
sce_sys/param.sfo
sce_module/libc.prx
sce_module/libSceFios2.prx
Keep the rest of the existing game content with these files. Check that each listed file is readable and nonempty, and that param.sfo contains valid game metadata.
In Game → Game folder, use Browse… to choose that root. Return to Home to see the detected cover, title ID and version. Click Save to retain the selection. For the complete first launch, continue to Windows or Linux & Steam Deck.
Should I select a separate update or a merged folder?
Set Game → Update folder (optional) only when your existing game update is in its own directory. That directory needs its own eboot.bin, sce_sys/param.sfo and remaining update content.
- Select the base directory in Game folder.
- Select the separate update directory in Update folder (optional). Both must have the same title ID. They must be separate directories: neither can contain the other, and they cannot be the same path.
- Return to Home to check the effective game version. A valid update takes priority in the displayed metadata.
- Click Save.
The port layers the update over the game at launch without changing either directory. Leave Update folder (optional) empty when the game directory already contains the update. Use the two fields instead of manually copying one directory over the other.
To inspect the base version, note the selected update path, temporarily clear that field and read Home again. Restore the original update path before saving and launching with the update.
What if a file check or built-in patch fails?
Read the named file or metadata error and compare it with the selected directory. For prepare failed: out of bounds or a missing-file error, follow Preparation errors. For a port program update, use Update.
Built-in patches locate their sites by the original code signatures in the selected executable. A site without a matching signature keeps its original behaviour. If a resolution or frame-rate change fails to apply, preserve the log's patch messages, title ID and game version for a report.
